"Satu's glasses, Saturnino Eyewear, are the pinnacle of quality. They aren't just ‘products’ they're songs, they're solos, they're a love for things done right. When he started this venture and told me about it even though I know nothing about glasses I could see there was passion and attention to detail, and that was enough to make me a fan of his adventure. For a few years now, his frames have been gracing the noses of people with an eye for beautiful things. It’s what you might call a ‘niche’ project, like certain kinds of music, like custom-made items. Handcrafted one by one, using the finest materials. He gave me this pair of glasses as a gift for a recent birthday one of those where I had to accept the age-related decline in my eyesight, but old age is welcome if it brings such cool stuff 😂. Now, for this Christmas, he’s made a few pairs, and if you like them they’re a limited edition you can get them and see the world through these magical lenses.

They’re the funkiest glasses in the world!"

A limited-edition capsule collection of 200 pieces, all numbered: the number is engraved on the inside of the temple and repeated on the velvet lining of its custom box.

One piece, one number, one story.

It began as a gift among friends, even before it became a pair of glasses.
A few years ago, Saturnino decided to do something that was both simple and monumental: design a special, iconic model for Lorenzo’s birthday, and then engrave the name “Jova” on both temples. Not a logo, not a signature, but a name written out in full—just as you would when calling someone’s name aloud in a room.

When Lorenzo walks into the studio to work on his new album “Niuiorcherubini,” those glasses are already part of his emotional toolkit: guitars, notebooks full of dreams, scattered ideas. And, of course, those glasses—the “funkiest in the world”—with his name engraved on them. He wears them during recording sessions, as the songs take shape, note by note, “no ifs, ands, or buts.”

That’s where the idea was born to turn that gesture between two friends into a limited edition: not just an accessory, but the story of an emotional passing of the torch, from Saturnino’s hand to Lorenzo’s face, and from there to whoever wants to wear them.

The names “Senza se e senza ma” and “Niuiorcherubini” are used with the kind permission of Lorenzo Jovanotti.
